Badges & Boxes Featured on Two National Law Enforcement Podcasts
Founder George Wilson sits down with CatFish Cops and A Badge of Honor for wide-ranging conversations on victim-centered policing, anti-trafficking work, and the Hurricane Helene response.
Albemarle, N.C. — George Wilson, Founder and President of Badges & Boxes, has been featured on two nationally distributed law-enforcement podcasts over the past two months, sharing the story of the organization’s work and its growing footprint in disaster response and victim advocacy.
The first appearance, recorded after a meeting at the 2024 Crimes Conference, brought Wilson to CatFish Cops — a podcast hosted by Tony Godwin, an active-duty detective in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex with more than 19 years of experience working with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. Godwin’s team noticed Wilson passing their booth at the conference more than once and ultimately invited him on for a case study and a longer conversation about his investigative work.
The second appearance, on A Badge of Honor, brought Wilson into conversation with hosts John Salerno and Samantha Horwitz — Post-Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI) resilience trainers who work with first-responder agencies nationwide. The episode, titled Empathy Amongst the Upheaval, covered Wilson’s philosophy of victim-centered policing, his work on cases involving human trafficking and internet crimes against children, and the role Badges & Boxes played in the Hurricane Helene response.
